Taj Renee Community Aquatic Center in Destin, Florida, is open to the public. Visitors are also welcome!

Located between Destin High School and Home Depot, the Taj Renee Community Aquatic Center has an outdoor 25-yard heated pool and a fun family pool!

Our Destin facility is called the TAJ RENEE COMMUNITY AQUATIC CENTER. The name was officially presented at the 2022 Sip & Splash Aquatic Affair. A remarkable woman named Taj Renee Oliver Brown inspired our naming sponsor to use her first and middle name, which mean “Love Reborn” as a loving tribute to Taj and the many generous and supportive people who have helped the ECFF’s vision become reality.

Swim Lessons

Our youth swim lessons start at age 3 and extend to age 17. We also offer lessons for adults. They are taught in small groups of 5-6 students per trained instructor.

Available April through October.

Aquacize

Make a splash by adding a low-impact, high-energy aquatic exercise to your fitness routine. Available for adults and children, aged 5-17.

We offer year-round deep water aquacise classes in our competition pool and warm weather classes in our shallow family pool.

Lap Swim Passes

Spread out in eight lanes of our 25-yard-pool filled with chilled water in the summer and heated water in the cold months. Our schedule shifts slightly from season to season but promises plenty of hours to get your work out in.

Parent & Tot

Our parent-tot lessons are geared toward swimmers aged 6 months to 3 years and require a parent to be in the pool with each child.

We teach water safety and basic swimming skills to the children with their parents’ assistance. Swim diapers are required for any child not fully potty trained. Babies must have formed stool before they start attending the class.

Family Swim

Our family pool with its big blue slide opens in late April and is open until mid-October. This is a zero-entry pool, which means even the smallest toddlers can walk in. Perfect for families with young children. The season closes each year with our Destin Doggie Swim Day.

Tri Time

Getting ready for your first or next triathlon? Tri Time is coming to the Taj in March for a three-month trial. Train with Coach Dave Bolon once a week. He provides the workout, tips and stroke technique suggestions.

Registration will begin March 19 from 6 to 7 p.m.

At the Aquatic Center in Destin on Sundays from 11:00am-1:00pm and Thursdays from 7:00pm – 9:00pm. All experience and ability levels welcome.

Water Safety Presentations

Drowning is the No. 1 cause of death for children ages 1-4 and the second leading cause of death for older children. We want to make sure all children have access to life saving information about rip currents, beach flags, and other key water safety information. We will even bring our portable rip current simulator to give students a hands-on lesson.
