The Emerald Coast Fitness Foundation is a dedicated public charity established with the mission to enhance physical fitness and promote essential water safety skills among both the youth and adults of Okaloosa County.
As the only organization operating public swimming facilities within Okaloosa County, we take pride in our role as a vital resource for the community. Our well-maintained pools and diverse programs are designed to cater to individuals of all ages and abilities, fostering a healthier, more active lifestyle for everyone in our area.
Through our initiatives, we aim to create an inclusive environment where community members can come together to learn, improve their physical well-being, and enjoy the many benefits of swimming and fitness activities.
Fun & Educational Activities year-round
Swim Lessons for All Ages
We offer swim lessons at all of our facilities for swimmers of all ages and abilities.
You may register online, or go to your local pool to sign up for lessons.
Confident swimmers are safer swimmers!
Lap Swim
Enjoy lap swim outdoors at Taj Renee in Destin and indoors at Bernie R. Lefebvre in FWB.
The Bernie pool is also available and will accommodate Destin swimmers if the pool is closed due to inclement weather conditions.
Enjoy Aquacize
Multiple aquacize sessions are available at our pools!
Join us for fitness, friendship and fun.
Parent & Tot
We teach water safety and basic swimming skills to the children with their parents’ assistance.
Play Water Polo
At the Aquatic Center in Destin on Sundays from 11:00am-1:00pm and Thursdays from 7:00pm – 9:00pm. All experience and ability levels welcome.
Come and learn from some very experienced players.
Lifeguard Training
Take a class from our in-house Red Cross Certified Lifeguard Instructor and then join our water safety team. Minimum age 15.

ECFF KIDS WATER SAFETY CAMPAIGN
Please help us make sure every child has the opportunity to learn to be safe in and around water by donating to our Kids Water Safety Campaign. This fund is set aside to cover the costs for children whose parents can’t afford the full price of swim lessons.
Last year, this fund helped more than 80 children learn to swim!
